To find the most popular keywords for your page or article, utilize this great tool by SEO Book. Keyword Research Tool.
Search for terms that are relevant to your industry, but not so grandiose that you will never rank for the term. For example, if you are a Realtor, chances are you will NEVER rank for the general terms such as “realty”, “Realtor”, or “real estate.” So, be more specific, by inserting geographic terms into your search. For example, you may try, “San Francisco realty”, or “Chicago Realtor.”
Even still, those two-word phrases can be very competitive as well. So, break it down even further if you must. For example, try “South Chicago Realtor” or “Bay area San Francisco Realty.”
While these terms may not be as popular as the others, you are targeting specific users with these narrow terms. The pool of quality leads increases, because you are pinpointing them more precisely.
