SEO Copywriting Tips: Article Syndication
One of the best ways to increase your SEO is by writing and syndicating informational articles on the Internet. For example, a real estate agent in San Francisco, wanting to rank high for “san francisco real estate”, should syndicate 10 articles on subjects such as: How to Negotiate Closing Costs when Purchasing San Francisco Real Estate.
The articles should be informational, with no call-to-action. These are not sales pieces, these are articles meant to establish you as an authority on the subject, while providing your readers (and possible leads) with valuable information. In turn, you receive one-way links to your site, and increased SEO.
Notes:
- The articles should be around 750-850 words.
- The subject matter should be related to your keyword or business, but not necessarily include that keyword. For example, the San Francisco real estate agency could also syndicate articles such as: “Best Schools for Special Needs Children in San Francisco”. You’re still targeting “San Francisco”, as well as providing information to your customers.
- Post the original articles on your site in a resources section, and link back to them. This will establish you as the originator of the content, and thereby the authority.
Syndicated articles continue to grow. That is, once they are syndicated and links established, they remain on the net forever, and will continue to increase the one-way links to your site.
Just remember, come up with unique articles. Don’t write an article that’s been done a million times. Stand out.
